Abdelrahman Mosatafa

Abdelrahman Aarafa Financial expert witness with over a decade of experience in auditing, assurance, and forensic accounting. Since 2019, I have prepared over 200 detailed expert reports for financial and banking disputes in the UAE, focusing on fraud, financial mismanagement, banking compliance, Personal status – inheritance, estate liquidation, and complex financial transactions. My reports and testimonies help courts understand and resolve complicated financial issues.

I started my career in 2012 in auditing and assurance, working as a supervising auditor at several firms, including the Big Four KPMG & Deloitte. This experience gave me deep knowledge of financial systems, regulatory compliance, and risk management. In 2019, I became a financial expert witness, was promoted to Senior Financial and Banking Expert in 2020, and in 2024, I became the team leader for the financial and real estate experts team within the expertise office.

I graduated from the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University with a degree in accounting in[removed]I earned a diploma in accounting and taxation in[removed]In 2015, I joined the Egyptian Tax Association and became a registered Chartered Accountant in[removed]In 2017, I also became a member of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors ESAA. I studied forensic accounting at West Virginia University in[removed]Most recently, in 2024, I received the Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst FMVA certification from the Corporate Finance Institute CFI.

Currently, I am pursuing ACCA membership and preparing for the Professional Level Four exams to further enhance my skills and career opportunities.
