The client wanted to have a visual knowledge of the monthly sales performance of the business, so as to make business decision relating to directing resources to improves sales or channeling it to other aspect of the business. Using Microsoft excel 2016, I built a chart to show the level of sales for each month from January to December. I constructed an average to compare the monthly sales. This helped to reveal the months in the year that recorded sales above average. The average could be seen as a target. The basic idea of creating an average is the fact that the line chart alone does not suffice in visualizing, as well as capturing sales performance. Furthermore, a table was built to show the actual amount that was sold in each months. The table helped in providing a quantitative picture of the sales and this again is compared against the average. The dashboard reveals the months or period&nbsp; in the year when sales were highest and lowest. The dashboard reveals the months or period&nbsp; in the year when sales where highest and lowest. The metrics helped client to make the following strategic business decision ; 1. To determine the months or period of the year to&nbsp; order or increase stocks of goods. The chart revealed that goods were sold&nbsp; more in August, September,November.&nbsp; Therefore, in this period the business must make plans to accommodates the increase in the level of the quantity of their product that is purchased. 2. The visualization revealed the impact of seasons and festivity in customer purchase behavior and decision. Clearly, the charts reveals sales were highest late in the year, showing that the firm sells more in festive periods. 3. It made the client to be aware of the need for adverting and marketing of the product in the period when sales where lowest (January - Julyl).
