I am a practicing scientist and have served about 36 years in the fields of Remote Sensing and GIS in the Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization SPARRSO, Ministry of Defence, Bangladesh and in the Institute of Water Modelling, Ministry of water resources. During this long period, I have gained practical knowledge and acquired skills in the application of these fields. I am an RS/GIS application expert, having skills in geo referencing/spatial adjustment, geo spatial data generation and analysis and Landuse. My research fields are flood, river and coastal morphology. I have 21 Journal papers and more than 42 presented papers. I have participated in more than 33 research and application oriented projects. I have travelled 32 times in 16 countries of the world for professional reasons. I have formulated and led a disaster related project for the Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization APSCO. I have been awarded by US NASA and APSCO for my contribution.
