4 How to Make a Table in Excel the easiest
Who doesn't know Microsoft Excel? Usually this application is used to create tables. So how do you create a table in Excel?
Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application program that is part of the Microsoft Corporation. This application is used to simplify jobs that generally require calculation formulas or data processing with various other supporting features. Like making tables to counting numbers.
Even though it is familiar to the ears, there are still many people who don't know how to create tables in Excel. Well, if you are one of them, then here are explanations and tips for making easy and precise Excel tables.
1. Open Excel Application
First, open the Excel application on your laptop then click on the menu located in the top left corner. Then, click open to open the document you want to create a table for. You can also open a new Excel document by clicking 'Blank Workbook' in front of the Excel application. But beforehand make sure all data has been entered.
2. Select Data
Before creating a table you must first select the data in the table by clicking the upper left cell in the section of the data group you want to insert into the table and then pressing the 'Shift' key on the keyboard while clicking the lower right cell in the data group. For example, the data you want to create a table for is in cells A1 to A5 and then down to D5, so you have to click A1 then click D5 while holding down the Shift key on your keyboard.
3. Insert and Tables
Then click Insert which is at the top of the Excel menu. Then you will see the Insert toolbar located at the bottom of the green ribbon. Then click Table which will display a new window on the selected data. Next, click OK at the bottom of the new window. Now you have successfully created a table on your data.
If the data you choose has a cell at the top that is usually used to write names, numbers, dates and others. So before creating a table click on 'My table has headers' before clicking OK.
