About Me
Being in Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Vidhyabhavan and P.P. Savani school, I learned from an early age the importance of self-motivation, independent study and pursuing my interests with passion. I find solace in working alone and joy in teamwork. In 2017, I first recognized the full impact of hard work. As I was planning my urban design project, I sought an opportunity with a lasting resolution where I can give back people what they actually want with my design. I designed an altar port in Porbandar. Through this project, I learned to identify specific talents in myself and the necessity of long term planning. Moreover, I have a personal interest in concept visualization, illustration work, and photography.
The Faculty of Architecture-S.C.E.T. has broadened my perspective of architecture. During my five years of undergraduate course B.arch, I've gathered a lot of knowledge in various subjects that helped me pass all year with distinction. Especially, the studio subject caught my interest starting from the scale of the small cafe with its materiality and detail to the port redevelopment with freedom of designing. Apart from that, residence design, blending of community with large community housing, and Large scale institute in Amaravati, India also helped me gain an overall understanding of design. Along with that, I did participate in L.I.K. trophy, 2016 by NASA India and Leaf-Landscape design competition, 2017 where I got to learn in brief about landscape designing. Almost every year, “ASAC - Architecture Student Activity Council” organized festivals, where I learned about how to erect a tensile structure in the “Tensile workshop” and interesting play of light in the “Light and Shadow Workshop” in[removed]In 2017, I led the team for “Bamboo Workshop” to make machaan out of bamboo in the college campus and rare “Rogan Art Workshop” that boosted my creativity. Apart from workshops, being a part of the student council, I also got a chance to dance, sing, and play a crucial role in drama on stage.
In the year 2018-’19, I got the opportunity to work with AW Design, Ahmedabad for one year as an architectural intern. They excelled in sustainable designing and IGBC documentation. As an intern in AW Design, India, my skills in sustainable design, documentation and architectural presentation have developed. Working there, I learned to adapt to changing environments and maintaining solid and friendly relationships with my co-workers. Throughout my experience, I have been directly involved in over 20 successful projects ranging from product design, Interior design, architectural design, landscape design, to IGBC documentation and green interior design of our own new office.
Having worked with all-round projects like Siholi learning center, I came in contact with poor people of the surrounding area. These eventually led me to my thesis - Housing for urban poor to help them live in an organized and civilized way. Although it was also focused on a study that how architecture contributes to slum improvements, priority to sustainable materials and functional requirements in design while integrating services to it, designing spaces that enhance the physical and visual interaction and reduce isolation, and to reconsider the concept ‘DENSITY' in cities as a strategic space in order to vitalize the area. I analyzed connectivity between slums and architectural space and proposed design for it, which will improve the present scenario of slums.
