Niyonkuru Patrick is a Burundian audiovisual communication specialist, writer, and emerging documentary filmmaker passionate about using media for social transformation and spiritual impact. He studied Audiovisual Communication in Burundi, where he developed strong skills in storytelling, media production, and digital communication.
Patrick is particularly interested in the power of media to educate communities and address social challenges. He is the author of a book examining the role of online media in preventing Gender Based Violence GBV, using the case study of Mashariki TV to highlight how digital platforms can influence awareness and community engagement.
Beyond academic work, Patrick is passionate about documentary filmmaking. He is currently interested in developing projects that explore spiritual revival movements in Burundi and across Africa, aiming to document the history, testimonies, and impact of faith based awakenings.
