Harsha Vardhan Ghanta

I am a Senior Member of Technical Staff at VMware, where I work on the ESXi kernel, the core component of the VMware virtualization platform. I have a Master of Science degree in Computer Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.

In my current role, I design, develop, and test features that enable the ESXi kernel to support new hardware and CPU architectures, such as multi tiered memory and persistent memory. These features enhance the performance and reliability of virtual machines running on modern servers, and provide customers with more flexibility and efficiency. I also contribute to the development of hotplug support for PCIE full pass through devices to VMs, which allows customers to dynamically attach and detach devices without rebooting the VMs.
