Kavuma Mathew

Matthew Kavuma is a versatile talent making strides in the film industry as an actor, writer, director, and producer. A proud Maisha Film Lab alumni since 2010, Kavuma marked his directorial debut with the short film Perfect Symmetry.
His talent as an actor was recognized with nominations for the Best Actor award at the UFF Awards in 2023 and Best Supporting Actor at the Ikon Awards in 2024.
Beyond his on screen roles, Kavuma has made significant contributions behind the scenes. He served as the head writer for the acclaimed telenovela TV show Prestige on Pearl Magic Prime, crafting captivating narratives for audiences. His writing talents also shine through in his work on the telenovela TV show Beloved.
