About Me
I am a freelance translator / transcriptionist / interpreter that is currently residing in Seoul, South Korea. Growing up in Malaysia, I am a bilingual native speaker Chinese and English, with excellent command of the Malay language, as well as the Hokkien and Cantonese dialect. I am also fluent in Japanese obtained Level N1, the highest level in JLPT in 2023, as well as Korean obtained Level 6, the highest level in TOPIK II in 2024.
My experience in translation and transcribing is vast mainly in the banking and finance, pharmaceutical and legal field. Legally trained, I have extensive experience translating legal documents from different languages into English, Chinese and Malay. Similarly, I have worked on projects requiring transcribing and real time translation of Japanese, Korean, Malay, Chinese into either English or Chinese.
The software and databases I use for my work are : Express Scribe Transcription, LexisNexis and Westlaw Legal Databases.
