About Me
Dr. Abraham Mulu Oljira is an experienced Ecologist holding a PhD degree in
Ecology Microbial Ecology from the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Currently, he is an assistant professor at the Department of Plant Sciences at Werabe
University, Ethiopia. He has over 9 years of experience in teaching and research in the
areas of microbial ecology, soil, and plants. His research interest includes the application of
agricultural innovation and technologies, including, but not limited to, biofertilizers and
biocontrol to reduce agrochemical use and improve plant productivity. He has attended
local and international conferences and training. Additionally, he has served as a vice dean
of the College of Dryland Agriculture and head of the Department of Dryland Crop Sciences at
Jigjiga University. Moreover, he has experience working with GOs and NGOs in budget
planning, report writing, organizing workshops, and communicating the project results.
