About Me
Hello! My name is David R. Rodriguez and I’m a freelance VFX artist, specializing in SideFX Houdini and Unreal Engine, looking to make a dent in the industry.
Over the last ten years, I’ve worked in a broad range of roles within the CG field: from doing motion graphics for instructional videos to crafting visual effects for short films and web series. I currently work as a Senior 3D Animator for the UK based firm SciAni creating complex medical/scientific visuals.
My main skills are: Animation, Motion Retargeting, Particle Effects, Pyro Effects, Fluid Simulations, Texturing & Shading, Lighting, Rendering and Composition. I’m also a great team player and an avid learner.
Software Tools: SideFX Houdini, Unreal Engine, Lightwave 3D, VUE, Quixel Mixer, Nuke, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, and Hitfilm.
