Hi, I have worked for many years as a team leader or manager of professionals. My degree is in counselling and applied social sciences and i worked many years in various modes of counselling from relationship, to adolescent, families, drug and alcohol and so on. Later I lead teams of professionals doing counselling, casework etc who were counsellors, social workers etc. Over the years I have had to hold a large portfolio of responsibility, not only towards the clients of any service I was working for but also to the staff I was supporting. This included ensuring our programs were up to national standards and ensuring that internally all policies and practices and procedures were up to date, clear and understood by all. This also included reviewing and updating operations manuals and doing a lot of extra work as required nurturing relationships with stakeholders and additional work required by management such as marketing or report writing, entering and analysing data and so on.
