As an undergraduate I was attracted to research based on the inheritance of characters and traits through generations which prompted me to undergo my academic project on VNTRs. But the most exciting part lies in Gene therapy, Gene cloning and Cytogenetics relevant studies. As a Doctoral student I moved from DNA to proteins in order to understand the mechanism of action of infectious and allergic diseases. Further, investigating the cellular and molecular aspects of cancer and immunological diseases in order to find a cure has always been my long term target in order to benefit mankind. Currently, I hold the DBT BioCARe Women Scientist Fellowship at the Applied Biology Department at CSIR IICT, Hyderabad where I am working on understanding the role of immune receptors using membrane proteomics in Stroke. My goal is to advance my academic career in the field of Cell and Molecular Biology. I am an ambitious person where I wish utilize my scientific knowledge and technical skills to learn
