Soumendra Debnath

SouMis a young Indigenous activist who is studying for a masters degree in Development Studies at BRAC University. He has volunteered with several
national and international organizations for more than five years.

One of Soumendra main activism areas is climate change. He has worked with the Youth Empowerment in Climate Action Platform YECAP as a fellow and later as a coordinator of the YECAP Indigenous Fellowship Programme. He is also a Movers Envoy of the Movers Programme an initiative of UNDP Youth Co: Lab. He has attended several global conferences and trainings
on climate change.
Soumendra also has experience working on Indigenous Peoples Issues and Peace & Conflict. He is an alumnus of the School of Peace 2023, which was held in Bali, Indonesia.
