Shayez Karim

I am Shayez Karim, a researcher at the intersection of computational neuroscience and bioinformatics, currently pursuing my Ph.D. at the Central University of South Bihar. My work focuses on leveraging machine learning, deep learning, and graph theory to decode complex brain networks using neuroimaging data, especially for early detection and understanding of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. Through my research, I’ve developed predictive models using rs fMRI data and graph metrics, achieving high accuracy in classifying Alzheimer’s patients by identifying key disrupted brain regions. I also use AI to work on protein protein interaction prediction, contributing to drug discovery and systems biology. My technical toolkit includes Python, R, SPM, CONN, and Linux based environments.
