Having grown up with lots of medical issues, I always thought I would never make it out there in the world. Due to mobility limitations, I am pretty much restricted to field work. However I knew that I had to do something for myself and that is where my observational skills came to the rescue.

At the mere age of 15, I started paying attention to all forms of texts in regards to spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. I would often find well established novels with mistakes here and there, only a person with attention to deal could spot out. Even when watching a movie or a TV show with subtitles, I would find spelling mistakes.

I am currently based in Dar es Salaam. I love reading novels, jigsaw puzzles, Disney, animals and anything to do with coffee and mint!

My aim is to raise the importance of correct spellings and grammar especially in schools and hospitals. Many people disregard the magic of proof-reading because they feel this is Tanzania so does it really matter?
