Salama Salum

Salama Ahmed Salum is a dedicated Sustainable Fisheries Manager, educator, and MSME development specialist with more than eight years of experience advancing community centered economic and environmental initiatives in Tanzania. Her work bridges marine science, education, and entrepreneurship, with a strong focus on empowering women and youth through sustainable business practices and responsible use of marine resources.

Salama is pursuing a Master of Sustainable Fisheries Management at the University of Dar es Salaam, building advanced expertise in fisheries science, ecosystem based management, and blue economy governance.Professionally, Salama works at the intersection of education, marine conservation, and local economic development, with extensive experience designing and leading community based projects.Salama provides leadership across project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation in agri technologies, circular economy, and environmental stewardship.
