After passing my B. Sc. ( Pass 1 ) from Sind University, Hyderabad/Pakistan, I studied at Blackburn College of Technolgy (UK) from 1964 to 1967 to acquire a Full Time 3 Years First Class Diploma in Textile Technology and from 1967 to 1968 I acquired Full Time Post Graduate Diploma in Textiles from the Universty of Leeds (UK). Then from 1968 to 1970 I worked as Technical Manager in Pak Dyeing & Printing Textile Mills, KARACHI/Pakistan. From 1970 to 1976 I worked as Technical Advisor with a German Subsidiary: M/s Hoechst (Pakistan) Ltd., Karachi/Pakistan. After my father's death I took over my family business of Timber & Allied Products in Karachi from 1976 to end-1996 importing & selling all kinds of timber as well as wood products.
