Raquel Busekrus, M.S.

Bilingual English and Portuguese project coordinator working closely with many companies of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industry, and looking to further contribute to medical research as a freelance scientific writer and translator.

With a strong academic background in human physiology and metabolism, I have been supporting medical research since my sophomore year of undergraduate school, in Brazil, as a research intern at the nephrology department of the medical school of the University of Sao Paulo, where I worked for over three years with chronic kidney disease and hypertension.

I was accepted to a masters program in exercise physiology at the University of Northern Colorado where I worked as graduate research assistant in cancer research for the two years of the program and four more after I completed the degree.

For 4+ years of my time in academia, I freelanced translating scientific manuscripts from Portuguese to English, and I am excited to do more of that!
