About Me
My professional career commenced as a veterinarian after obtaining the BVSc degree from the Peradeniya university. I joined the Veterinary Research institute and proceeded to University of Edinburgh, Scotland for postgraduate studies. After nearly 32 years of government service i retired in 2012 as the Director, VRI. On two occasions I have served as a consultant to the FAO in Sri Lanka.I was an avid reader from a very young age and had a passion for writing. In the university days I was always involved in the editing of annual magazines of the faculty. later on for over a decade I was in-charge of compiling and editing annual research activity related documents in the institute. After my retirement I spent my time on spiritual development through meditation, reading books on dhamma and listening to spiritually uplifting discourses. As a freelance writer to date I have completed 150 articles.
