Heather Havemann

Born in London lived in Forest Hill and then in Ealing. I worked for 5 years as a directors PA before deciding to spread my wings and leave grey and rainy UK. At age 22 I hopped on a plane to the Seychelles - a pin in a map being the instigator. Within a few days I found work crewing on a charter yacht belonging to a South African. Truly enjoyed the lifestyle , weather and meeting and conversing with many people of different nationalities. With the ousting of President Mancham the termination of the charter license saw me flying off to South Africa to begin the next chapter of my life. After the first year of married life my husband found a new profession, Geology. This saw us spending the next 5 years prospecting in many different areas all over South Africa. My English prowess was recognized by the, mostly Afrkaans, local town residents and I was encouraged to help their with matric exams. My English language skills, A levles in language and literature, have held me in good stead.
