Niluka Thilakarathne

I Niluka Thilakarathne after finished my secondary education, in year 2001 I entered the University of Kelaniya,Sri Lanka, to study Bachelor of ArtsBA degree specialized in fine arts. When I was doing my degree at University of Kelaniya, I was fond of studying the social and anthropological aspects in culture. Therefore, my research dissertation topic was “An Analysis on Colour Usage in the Rituals of Sri Lanka. And I got the opportunity to join Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd. ANCL, as a journalist and worked for 13 years at ANCL. In that period, I focused on creative writing, children’s stories, short stories, life stories, research based feature articles such as Intangible cultural heritage, social and cultural background of people and the society.
