About Me
I have had opportunities to work at Federation of Women Lawyers-Kenya FIDA-K and National AIDS Control Council NACC, a semi-autonomous government agency; both venerable institutions in Kenya. FIDA-K is a non-governmental organizations that works to protect the plight of vulnerable women in society who are faced with Sexual Gender Based Violence. My job was to conduct interviews and draw up reports of these interviews. I would also do research and draft pleadings and affidavits to be filed in Court. Occasionally, I would sit in high-level meetings and act as the rapporteur.
At NACC, I was attached to the legal department where our main responsibility was acting as the advisory arm to both the organization and the Minister of Health on Human Rights and any other legal matters people living with HIV face. I also had opportunities to rapporteur at the 2015 Maisha Biennial Conference.
