About Me
Hi,
I am Gaby Keren, journalist and translator, avid reader and enthusiastic writer.
I am fluent in English, French, Spanish and Hebrew and write in all the above languages. I know it is unusual to have more than one mother tongue.
However, I come from a family of linguists my grandfather spoke 17 languages, including Mandarin, and although I was born in Mexico City, I attended the French Lycee and completed high school in Canada and the USA and later completed my studies in Translation and Interpreting.
I moved to Jerusalem, Israel about three decades ago and I am contemplating history from this controversial and extraordinary location. Not that it’s always easy but it’s always interesting, there’s never a dull moment and there's plenty to write about, whether it's technological innovation, middle east politics, religion, travel and tourism and people from all ethnic backgrounds and all walks of life.
