Mekibeb Yicheneku

Im Mekibeb Yicheneku Urago, but most people know me as Mac. I grew up in Chelelektu, Ethiopia, in a rural and underprivileged environment, which shaped my determination to succeed. I graduated with a 3.80 GPA in Applied Mathematics from Addis Ababa University, all while working part time to support myself. My passion for data science and AI led me to focus on optimizing neural networks and exploring multi objective optimization during my studies. Ive solved over 100 coding challenges on platforms like LeetCode and HackerRank, honing my problem solving and analytical skills. Professionally, Ive worked as a database developer and held leadership roles in a student fellowship, experiences that have strengthened my organizational and teamwork abilities. My research interests lie in bridging the gap between theoretical AI and practical machine learning, particularly in deep learning. Im driven by a daily commitment to self improvement, and I aspire to become a data science expert.
