Martina Bevilacqua

I am graduated in Biotechnology. During the courses, I gained deep theorical knowledge and basic practical competences typical of red biotechnology in veterinary and animal models: the manipulation of genes and their products, the diagnostics for clinical analysis, the usage of cells, gametes, embryos for cellular and reproductive biotechnology and the creation of in vitro models for the sperimentation. I studied in deep also the field of neurobiology, infectious diseases, genomics, bioinformatics and aspects related to animal and human nutrition. I followed a brief internship at ISPRA, then I went abroad and I spent 4 months to Aalborg University, where I worked for an european project Life + to assess the level of diet overlap between elks and deers in Lille Vildmose park. I became confident with molecular tecniques as Dna extraction from biological samples, PCR, Electrophoresis, Dna purification, sequencing.
