I started working on community newspapers straight out of high school and have remained active as a news journalist ever since. My last permanent post was with The Star in Johannesburg, South Africas largest circulating daily newspaper. I decided to freelance permanently just over seven years ago, and have never looked back. On a personal front, I am a keen lawn bowler and represented by province equivalent to a state in the U.S. at inter district level for five years. I now live in a small town on the Cape West Coast of South Africa.
