A Passion Reborn...

In all honesty, the story of my relationship with writing is not an epic tale with me as the protagonist staring into an unrelenting abyss and finding courage in the gift of words. However I do subscribe to the notion that there is a story there that is of merit.

As a child, I was introduced to books and stories from an early age. I therefore developed a love for the written word and before long I was crafting my own tales fueled by youthful imagination.

The years passed and life became more sobering. Slowly, my passion retreated to the inner sanctum of my mind to lay dormant with childish thoughts.

One day, adult me was cleaning an archaic bag nestled in the confines of a forgotten closet space and I came across a curious piece of paper. As I examined it, I realized that it contained a portion of a story that I had written in the third grade. Nostalgia wrapped in emotion swaddled me and the dormant fire was reignited. I was a writer once more.
