Kartikey Thapliyal

I am a first year law student with a focused interest in judicial reasoning, adjudicatory processes, and the practical application of legal principles within courtrooms. My academic work reflects an engagement with core areas such as contract law, tort law, and regulatory frameworks, alongside an emerging interest in how courts interpret and apply law in complex, evolving contexts.

Through my publications, I have analysed issues relating to competition law in digital markets, gender based wage disparities, and medical negligence, with an emphasis on judicial reasoning and institutional accountability. These experiences have strengthened my ability to read case law critically, identify legal issues, and engage with competing arguments in a structured manner.

I am particularly interested in observing and contributing to the functioning of courts at both the trial and appellate levels, including proceedings before the District Courts in Dehradun and the High Court of Uttarakhand.
