I had the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience first hand in the film and television industry through a learnership. I am now able to understand the different techniques used on and off set and the immense hard work that goes into making any production successful. As well as how crucial working as a collective is. I am naturally shy but challenge myself to step out of that frame of mind, as I enjoy working with others and sharing different views about a specific topic or issue, it stimulates my creative side to approaching and dealing with events. Pre-production, production as well as post-production require teams of various skill sets who are creative and challenged to capture every opportunity necessary. I am able to assist my team as far and hard as necessary in order to achieve deadlines. The thought of being responsible for an idea being born or recreating stories that have been told before only told differently is one that should be reckoned with, especially in this time
