Jan Harmse

I am a 2013 graduate from the Open Window Institute with a BA Degree in Visual Communication who specializes in Form and Space Design and Interactive Media Development. I am a driven individual with a strong work ethic. I thrive in both calm, isolated environments, and high pressure, highly competitive environments. I became the first student out of the Open Window Institute to reach the finals in the Loeries Awards for Student Retail Design. I achieved the highest marks in my Major Subject, passing with a distinction. I’m well spoken in Afrikaans and English. I’m patient, responsible and reliable. I handle conflict though calm debate. I’m both understanding of circumstance and strict against shoddiness. I’m always open to ideas and critique. I never expect more than what is reasonable from others, and strive to consistently deliver more than what is expected. I have a passion for responsible design and meaningful relationships, placing great value on quality and consistency.
