Ivonne Tovar

My name is Ivonne Tovar and I have been involved with languages my whole life. I am from Colombia but lived most of my life abroad, reason for which I have been able to speak Spanish and English in a proficient way. While studying at the University, I studied different languages such as French, German, Spanish, and English. I lived in England and the United States reason for which my English skills are good. Apart from that I spent some time at the University teaching English to non-native speakers. I started translating books in 1993 and certified myself as an Official Translator and Interpreter in Colombia that same year. In 1996 I worked at the Department of International Affairs in Colombia as the Head of the Department of Translation. I have translated documents and articles that have been published in Colombia. In 2017, I decided to certify myself as a translator in the United States so I took the certification exam. I always try to do the best job possible and on time.
