Ian Mapira

I have been a journalist and a blogger, who has partly studied for an Honours Degree in
Journalism and Media Studies at the National University of Science and Technology NUST.
My strong writing and storytelling abilities stem from the four years that I have been working
as media practitioner as head writer for bhizimusi.com in business and political reporting. I
also sometimes reported and edited articles in social, arts, sports and culture sections. This has
given me an advantage of understanding the atmosphere of the country. In these years, I was
also involved in different training programmes that helped me upgrade my writing and
reporting skills receiving certificates from the Reuters and the British Council as you shall see
in my resume. Some of my articles have also been published in the Media Institute of Southern
