Gemeda Fida

Dr. Gemeda Terfassa Fida is a Forestry Researcher at the Oromia Agricultural Research Institute IQQO/Adami Tulu Agricultural Research Center ATARC, with over twelve years of experience in environmental science, natural resource management, and agroforestry. He specializes in environmental management and sustainability, focusing on climate smart practices that reduce risks and enhance livelihoods.

Gemeda earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Management and Sustainability from the University for Development Studies, Ghana, supported by a WACWISA scholarship. He holds a Master’s degree in Forest and Nature Management from Jimma University and a Bachelor’s degree in General Forestry from Hawassa University.

His research emphasizes innovative forestry technologies, agroforestry applications, and sustainable agriculture. He is committed to bridging scientific knowledge with practical solutions, inspiring colleagues and communities through his positive energy and collaborative approach. Out
