I studied statistics and now I work as a data scientist for 2 years. I have completed 3 projects since I started my current job. All of these projects are about machine learning tools. I am in the energy sector now. My first project was about energy production predictions. Our company has 2 wind farms and I predict the power generation for each wind turbine for the first project. For this firstly I needed to forecast wind speed for using as input for my main machine learning model I mean power generation forecasting. So I use some deep learning tools for time series forecasting cause wind speed is acting like time series for this reason I used the LSTM model. And then using this list result as an input I predicted power generation using supervised learning tools like support vector regressor, decision tree regressor, etc. my model’s input was wind speed and output was active power. And I chose the best model for each turbine.
