About Me
I am an experienced social worker and social work lecturer who has 30 years work with 15 years in the higher education sector.
I have worked in various voluntary and statutory organisations with children and families, adults with drug and alcohol misuse issues, survivors of rape and sexual abuse, clients in prison and on probation, older people and adults with physical and mental health disabilities. I have worked as a case manager, social worker, community and outreach development officer, group facilitator and counsellor.
As a lecturer, I have run social work under graduate and post graduate courses and supported students throughout their time as adult learners.
My experience and approach to my work resembles my personal qualities which is someone who is genuine, honest, caring, non judgemental, hard working, discreet and confidential and can practise within the requirements of my social work registrant requirements.
