David P. Yeeting Jr

I completed undergraduate degree in Fisheries Science and Marine Resources Management in Papua New Guinea at the University of Natural Resources and Environment and also at the National Fisheries College in the New Ireland Province. I am well equipped in knowledge and experience with regards to fish population dynamics and fisheries stock assessment for management of fisheries resources. I have also been involved in community based management work through awareness programs in the rural areas of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands and, while in the Solomon Islands, I worked with the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources where tasks included conference participation and workshop delivery. At the start of 2014, I undertook a pilot study on fisheries within one of the provinces in Fiji called Tailevu and covered the whole of the Dawasamu district as part of my Masters study at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji, which I will complete at the end of the year 2015.
