Dieter Decostere 1978 has more than 20 years of experience in the international world
of film and television.
He graduated with honours from RITCS School of Arts Royal Institute for Theatre,
Cinema & Sound, Brussels in 2002, where he earned a Masters in Directing and
Screenwriting.
Barely a few months later, On the set of the Award winning drama film Girl with the Pearl
Earring 2003 he proved his skills as a set manager alongside Award winning director
Peter Webber and internationally acclaimed actors such as Colin Firth, Cillian Murphy and
Scarlett Johansson.
After that, he quickly climbed the ladder. He learned the ropes as an assistant director on
the sets of high budget TV commercials for A brands such as UPS, Dash and Belgium’s
national telecom provider’s Proximus, Base and Telenet.
He was the 1st Assistent Director on the set of Russian Dolls Matroesjka’s, Matrioshki,
