Deepak Lal

I am a Professor and Head of the Centre for Geospatial Technologies at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, with over 20 years of experience in Remote Sensing, GIS, and Agricultural Engineering. My expertise spans spatial data analysis, satellite and airborne image processing, precision agriculture, crop health monitoring, and water resource management. I have a Ph.D. in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering with a focus on geospatial techniques for crop water production functions and evapotranspiration estimation.My consulting experience includes supporting agricultural and environmental projects using GIS and remote sensing tools, including mapping, modeling, and yield prediction. I am proficient in ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine, GPS/GNSS data integration, for geospatial analysis. I also have experience in developing marketing programs and proposals for consulting projects.I provide freelance services in GIS mapping, remote sensing data processing, environmental and agricultural modeling, drone/UAV data analysis, and customized geospatial solutions. I also offer training and technical support in geospatial technologies.
