David Kong

I'm a published, professional Chinese writer, translator, and editor. I’m a native Chinese. I hold a PhD in Asian Studies from the University of Auckland, NZ, a MA in Comparative Literature, and a BA in Chinese Language and Literature. I’ve published numerous articles creative works, academic essays, film, theatre and art reviews, news, etc. in prominent Chinese/English journals, newspapers and magazines. I used to work as an editor for newspapers and magazines.

I've been involved in numerous commercial translations of various kinds. I’ve published two translation books On Lyotard; On Paul de Man. Seven translated books are to be published including The Journal of Thomas Merton; Oswald Chambers: Abandoned to God; The Holderlin Reader; Derrida, Key Concepts; and Derrda’s of Grammatology, a biography and a book by Francis Schaeffer.
