Clyde Beech

I am Clyde Beech, a Cape Town born visual artist and storyteller with a deep passion for digital art and science communication. Growing up in the Cape Flats, I overcame numerous challenges to achieve my dream of becoming a professional artist. My journey has been fueled by relentless drive, motivation, and a commitment to honing my craft.

Specializing in comic book art, sequential visual storytelling, and character design, I have developed a diverse range of skills, including illustration, digital painting, and creative directing. I have contributed to some of South Africas top comic books, such as the acclaimed superhero comic Kwezi and the widely distributed soccer comic Supa Strikas, where I served as lead artist and Art Director for nearly a decade.

My experience extends to 2D animation, where I worked as a background, prop, and texture artist for Clockwork Zoo, contributing to shows for Disney Junior UK and Cookie Jar Entertainment Canada. Additionally, I have served as a C
