Bharat Patel

I am a Zimbabwe citizen resident in South Africa, I retired in April, 2014 after >22years of service in the Mining industry in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Saudi Arabia. In all cases I functioned either as Mine Manager or as a Head of Department, reporting directly to the Mine Manager.

I was mostly involved in day-to-day production with all its ramifications; e.g. planning, emergency breakdowns, hiring and dismissals, health, safety and environmental issues, budgetting etc.

I also have business experience, having managed a wholesale concern in the capacity of Sales Director for a period of ~ 3 years.

Spiritual concerns and activities play a huge part in my life. I have served as Chairman of the Satya Sai Centre in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and am currently active within the same organisation in Randberg. Service activities, education of the young and the youth and devotional singing are my areas of activity.

I have taught music and travelled to the Special Olympic World games as a coach.
