About Me
I am a thorough, versatile editor with an eye for detail and an ear for voice and cadence. I handle fiction, nonfiction, and film and TV scripts and treatments. All told I have over twenty years experience as a writer and as an evaluator of others writing, mostly in my prior capacity as a university instructor, but more recently as a freelance editor and indexer.
I have a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania historical musicology and I hold the professional certificate in editing from UC Berkeley Extension. I also have formal training in book indexing and screenwriting. Past clients include Clemson University Press and Flatpage, an editorial services company that specializes in academic nonfiction.
