About Me
Hello to everyone! My name is Athina Liakakou and I am Greek speaking translator/subtitler with English, French, Spanish and Russian. I hold a degree in European Studies and French/Russian from Keele University in UK and a Masters degree in Bilingual Translation English Greek from Westminster University in UK. I also have a Masters degree in Mediterranean Studies from King’s College London in UK.
For the time being, I am a volunteer with Global Voices, where I translate journalistic texts on human rights and international affairs from English, French, Spanish and Russian into Greek.
I have also worked with Translators without Borders where I have translated technical manuals and psychology texts from English into Greek.
Finally, I volunteer as a subtitler with TedXAthens, where I subtitle various speeches of social interest from English, French, Spanish and Russian into Greek.
