About Me
Since 2003, I have been working as a freelance translator/proofreader with more than 20 translation agencies all around the world. In 2008, I worked as a translator/interpreter for the UN mission in Darfur. In 2011, I was qualified for the membership of the American Translators Association ATA where I have learned a lot about what it takes to be a professional translator. Now, I am a voting member at the ATA and Proz Certified Pro. I have a fervent desire to adopt technology in translation. My Master's thesis is about the assessment of machine translation of legal texts. I am also enrolled in SDL's certification course on post-editing. My favorite CAT tools are Trados 2014 and Memoq Pro. I also have worked with Wordfast. I am in the process of launching my website arabsavvy.com to have my say and look forward to further chances.
