Request for Proposal (RFP): Web Scrapping Expert for Database Development of Business Schools and Training Firms in French Africa

1. Introduction: Performexworld, (info.performexworld.com) a leading Canadian company specializing in e-learning and management training solutions, is seeking an experienced web scraper to develop a comprehensive database of business schools and top training firms within French-speaking African countries. This project aims to expand our educational resources and partnerships across French Africa, enhancing our e-learning and training offerings in management and leadership.

2. Project Overview: The successful candidate will be tasked with creating an extensive database that includes detailed information on 5 largest private business schools across French Africa, alongside identifying the top five training firms in each French African country for 14 countries. This information will be pivotal in our efforts to collaborate with local institutions and firms to offer enriched e-learning and training experiences.

3. Scope of Work:

• Web Scraping and Research: Use advanced web scraping techniques to gather data on business schools and training firms within French-speaking African countries. The data should be collected from credible sources, including Africa Go Online, educational portals, and official websites.
• Database Development: Organize the collected data into a structured database, as per the format provided in the enclosed Excel file. The database should include, but not be limited to, the name of the institution/firm, contact details, courses offered, and any other relevant information. See the Excel sheet.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information by cross-verifying data across multiple sources. The database should be free from errors and duplications.

4. Deliverables:

• A comprehensive and well-structured database in Excel format (template provided) of business schools and the top five training firms in each French-speaking African country.
• A brief report summarizing the methodology used for data collection and any challenges encountered during the research process.

5. Timeline: The project will commence on Monday, April 2, and the final deliverables are expected within two weeks, by April 16.

6. Proposal Requirements: Interested freelancers should submit a proposal that includes:

• A brief overview of their experience with web scraping and database development.
• Examples of similar projects completed in the past.
• A detailed approach to the project, including any tools or software to be used.
• Total cost estimate for the project.
