Project Details
We are seeking a native US English-speaking phonetician to assist with language data processing for text-to-speech (TTS) technology. The ideal candidate should have experience in phonemic transcriptions, speech data evaluation, and the International Phonetic Association (IPA).
Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate word spelling and phonemic transcriptions
- Manage data transfers and curate audio, text, and spectrograms for TTS sessions
- Perform text normalization and dictionary mappings
- Provide transcriptions in IPA and an in-house phonetic system
- Create phonetically balanced sentences for speech synthesis
- Collect data for large phonetic coverage
- Annotate speech waveforms for TTS
