Aim:
To develop a location map of cheap and appropriate hospitals for
patients under normal and emergency conditions


Preface:

Many patients in our country encounter severe problem in locating an
appropriate hospital for diagnosis and treatment of a disease due to
absence of an organized system of valuable information. Patients
often get confused in choosing between multiple hospitals if it is
not a planned clinical procedure. In the case of planned procedure
also, depending upon the success rate of a particular hospital or
doctor and the presence of required facilities, it is sometimes very
hard to select either the doctor or the hospital for the desired
care. The public hospitals are overflowing with patients most of the
times especially after the covid situation which rendered only a
limited portion of the facilities functioning properly. Specially
during emergency situations such as road accidents or heart attacks,
lack of quickly accessible information often creates severe
obstruction in taking immediate action. Additionally, the care is
expensive in private multi-specialty hospitals, but small nursing
homes on the other hand are sometimes unreliable or unable to provide
the required service. Thus, an organized real time information
database of doctors and facilities of every hospital in a region
would be immensely helpful in mitigating these inconveniences.


Objectives


We
divide the proposal into two-parts. The first part addresses the
issues of emergency procedures where as the second part relates to
the planned procedures or even applicable to the OPD procedures and
(or) opd visits.


Depending
upon the complexity of the required procedure, patient should get a
comprehensive information regarding the availability of beds, proper
expertise and equipments for the trauma care after the road accident
and availability of the particular clinical procedure, expertise, and
equipment like angioplasty after myocardial
infarction.
Similarly, it can be extended to other specialties as well.


The
clinician emergency situation is applicable to both rural and urban
scenario. Rural medical emergency leads to more criticality than the
urban scenario because of the lack of facility and expertise.
Although, medical emergency mismanagement can occur due to financial
condition, it can also happen due to lack of facility. In this
regard, we hereby propose a model to create a real time database of
hospital network providing information about the different levels of
expertise and availability of bed as a function of time shown in the
flow chart below.

*Calls are proffered over the app based method as it is not always
possible for either the patients or the caregivers to extract the “

mental condition during emergency – a conversation with trained
professional in local language in the central processing unit will
be helpful to extract the desired information.
