Question 5 :	eV?&nbsp;What is the full name of eV? ------------------------------------------------------------------- 	In this creative project, you will look at a list of about 100 common chemicals,&nbsp; and you will try to work up a composite of these chemicals, and appropriate production techniques, &nbsp;which would allow us to prototype green electronic COMPOSITE diodes,&nbsp; albeit low performance diodes. 	Here are the suggested benchmarks and payment amounts : Total amount for all milestones : TOTAL USD$100.00&nbsp;&nbsp;Total time duration for all milestones : 19 days. MILESTONE 1, Budget $50.00, Duration 10 days : 	In milestone 1, you will identify the chemicals in the list which have semiconductive properties.&nbsp; &nbsp;You will also identify materials in the list which can dope the semiconductive chemicals to achieve bandgap doping.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 	You will suggest methods to cause the materials to be doped, e.g. laser doping, xenon flash&nbsp; doping, solution doping, core@shell, tube furnace, etc.&nbsp; 	Initially you will suggest 8-12 heterojunction combinations.&nbsp;You will look at scientific articles&nbsp; supporting your suggestions for the heterojuncitons, send the internet links to the articles to me,&nbsp; or upload them to the internet cloud storage.&nbsp;Do not cite patents. 	I will review this initial list, and will comment.&nbsp;I will suggest cutting down the list to only 4 or 5 candidate heterojunction combinations. 	The lists contain about 100 green chemicals.&nbsp;Here are some of the chemicals in the lists.: 	Semiconductors : zinc oxide, zinc iron oxide, attapulgite, bentonite sodium, ferric oxide, graphite, kaolin, magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate, mica, montmorillonite, SiO2 	Dopants : alum, carbon, chlorophyll, nitrogen, zinc, salt, potassium chloride, sodium sulfate, carbonized sorbitol 	Linkers or glues : sorbitol, animal glue, cmc, ‘Trisodium citrate dihydrate’’ , chitosan 	Surfactants : lecithin etc. 	Hole Transport :&nbsp;ZnO and others can be doped to become Hole Transport. MILESTONE 2, Budget $20.00, Duration 5 days : 	We want a simple composite diode.&nbsp;The composition needs to be durable enough for use&nbsp; as an ingredient for a coating on consumer products.&nbsp;The composition can be held together by covalent&nbsp; bonds, metallic bonds, or linkers, and additional methods you suggest.&nbsp;These need to bond to the polyer coating coated to the object surface. 	Chitosan is a great “glue”, but I consider it rather weak compared to a covalent bond, etc. 	In this Milestone 2 you will consider how to bond everything together. 	Here are some of the ingredients which may help make bonds : Lecithin from egg whitescastor oilsyrups &amp; sugars and citric acid gluesliquid rubber&nbsp;with plastifying castor oil &amp; elemental zinc catalaystsoybean oillinseed oilagaraluminum – catalystcaseincellulose acetatechitosan 	These suggestions are just several quick suggestions.&nbsp;I will rely on you to find suitable bonds and bonding techniques. 	For this part of the project, I suggest using old USA patents from 1930 to 1980.&nbsp;In this project you will suggest some means of bonding the&nbsp;particles together, and to the plastic coating.&nbsp;You will suggest a bond matching with the 4 or 5 combinations we have agreed on in Milestone 1. 	You will provide highlighted patent documents or other excerpts which teach the bonds you prefer. MILESTONE 3 Budget $30.00, Duration 5 days : 	After you and I agree to a short list of 4-6&nbsp;heterojunctions, their bonding materials and methods, you will review the scientific literature&nbsp; further, and find more examples of these.&nbsp; 	You will prepare a simple list of the scientific articles, and send url addresses for the articles. 	You will study the chemicals and techniques taught in these papers, and will comment on chemicals and procedures.&nbsp;You will&nbsp; elaborate on the techniques, to help an entry level chemistry student to know the procedures well. 	The OUTPUT of this project can be a text document, with your suggested compositions of&nbsp; chemicals, with your comments, along with a list of the scientific articles which confirm your ideas.&nbsp;You will send urls&nbsp; of the scientific articles along with notes and underlining, and you can also upload the articles to the internet cloud.
