Technical Lab Curriculum Developers help create practical, hands-on skills assessment problems and exercises. Lab Developers will develop experiential labs using puzzles, CTFs (Capture-the-Flag), and game scenarios that emulate real-world operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Ubuntu Desktop, Ubuntu Server, and general Linux knowledge.
Lab Developers will be provided learning objectives and style guidance, and will be expected to produce lab questions (including lab instructions, expected answer, QA testing scripts, and grading scripts in Bash or Python) and variations (questions that also meet the learning objective for retake exams) based on these guidelines.
Lab Developers may also perform code reviews for existing questions, and will assist with writing grading scripts in Bash for up to approximately 10 existing labs.
Technical Lab Curriculum Developers must have significant professional experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu distro preferred), Bash scripting, and GitHub repos. Experience with instructional design, curriculum, or adult education preferred. Strong communication skills needed.
